If you pick the right fonts they can lend a fantastical element to any document you're working on. Following our interest in faerie themes we've gathered together a collection of special art and decorative fonts on fairy-related themes, including fonts of fairy decorations and fonts based on the hand lettering of famous fairy tale illustrators. Our fonts are all very reasonably priced, at between $5 and $15, depending on the nature of the font, plus they come in TrueType and Postscript format for Mac or PC based systems.

We have a number of fonts based on the lettering and decorative designs of Arthur Rackham. Our latest is Florissant, which is shown above. It is based on marginal decorations Rackham did for the legend of Undine. Our Rackham fonts also include the Rackham font, based on his hand lettering and the Sangrael font based on his Arthurian marginalia. Both of these are shown below. We also have several other Rackham fonts, including floral decorations and silhouettes.

Along similar lines we also offer the Faerie font (shown above), which features fairy images by Rackham and other illustrators taken from various 19th century sources.

Many classic illustrators lettered their own captions and did decorative titles for the books they worked on. Two of the most interesting styles were penned by Howard Pyle (above) and Charles Folkard (below). These two great artists are also featured in our images collection. German Art Nouveau artists or the Jugendstil movement also had a great interest in fantasy and fairytale themes. Their work included type design and lettering, like the Maidens initials (above) or our very popular Goodfellow and sprite fonts (below).
