Mixing and matching different fonts is also part of the strategy, depending upon the purpose and aesthetic of the design. There is an incredible selection of fonts nowadays; however, staying different is much more difficult. It is challenging for a graphic designer to create unique designs without compromising the readability or aesthetics. The curves, lines, color, size, and even the thickness of the type of fonts you use can build and deliver a strong message. Helvetica is one of the popular fonts used by major brands across the World. The sans-serif typeface was designed in 1957 by Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffman. Due to its huge popularity, many different versions of the font are available in the market. One of the biggest advantages of using Helvetica is that it supports more languages than any other typeface. Helvetica is widely used by Federal Government Agencies because of its high readability.

Roboto Mono:

A highly preferred version from the Roboto Family, Roboto Mono is every graphic designer’s favorite. Roboto is a sans-serif typeface developed by Christian Robertson for Google and its mobile operating systems. As such, using this font for any designs to be displayed or shared through mobile devices is a no-brainer. Popular brands such as Nintendo, Unreal Engine, Kodi, and YouTube prefer Roboto as their default font. Roboto mono is free to use, making it accessible to anyone.


Montecatini is one of the favorites of any graphic designer. The font is quite artsy yet readable. This popular font was designed by Louise Fill and is inspired by the 1900s travel poster from Italy. This elegant typeface is suitable for logos and posters. As Montecatini is paid premium font, it is less commonly used and, therefore, can separate you from your competition.



Garamond is a unique serif typeface loved by graphic designers all around the World. Garamond is a highly readable font without compromising on aesthetics and elegance. It is commonly used in book printing, magazines, and body texts of graphic designs. The writing resembles handwritten text and has been used in all Harry Potter Books. It is also widely used in designing websites.


Futura is a sans-serif typeface initially designed by Paul Renner in 1927. It is popular for its association with the Frankfurt project and Frankfurt Magazine. Futura is commonly used when a graphic designer needs to accommodate a lot of text in a minimum space. The font has a geometrical foundation and can be used in designs to fit perfectly into geometrical shapes. It is most commonly used in texts, displays, and logos.
